The Catholic Telegraph del 26 febbraio 1891 riporta: “The new altar of the Holy Face in the chapel of St. Veronica, in St. Patrick’s cathedral, New York, was consecrated on February 18th, by Archbishop Corrigan. An Italian priest, the Rev. Father Ferrante, has come from Rome at the invitation of Archbishop Corrigan to attend to the spiritual wants of the Italians living in the cathedral parish.”
